It doesn't take guts. It's the same as any regular person getting away with parking illegally, too. Sometimes, all I want to do is get some papers to grade. So I park illegally, run inside Whittemore hall, get the papers, run out and drive off. Should I be video taped doing it, and have someone post it online as if that person is a hero for pointing it out? It's my responsibility to follow the law the same as a police officer's. Granted, it was a poor choice by the officers. That doesn't happen often enough to make such a big deal about it, or say that it takes guts to confront them, or be proud of the guy who taped it. A mistake was made that somehow turns into a blanket statement about cops breaking the law.
Are you kidding me, jd? Of course it takes guts. This guy that exposed them (as well as Ian by extension), are exposing hypocrisy.
I honestly am sick and tired of seeing police officers consistently pass me at 10 mph or more over the speed limit on interstate, and this video exposes that hypocrisy as well.
The police officers doing these things should recognize they're affecting the way "civilians" think about cops when they do these things. It's hard to have authority when you do the same things as the people you're writing tickets for.
