Too Afraid to Dream

During a talk I attended a couple years back in college, the speaker shared his thoughts on dreams. Not the kind you have when you're asleep, but those "I'd like to do that some day" type of goals you have for your life. He advised us to use caution when sharing our dreams with people, because why should people take us seriously if we keep talking about them w/out ever doing anything about them. I'm butchering his message, but that's the gist.

We then went around sharing some dreams we have for ourselves, and I said that I wanted to go to a place affected by the Tsunami for a mission trip. That summer I ended up going to the Dominican Republic for 2 weeks. Touché, speaker guy.

So what do I do with that? When do those "that'd be sweet" goals manifest into something real, and when do they simply change as life changes? Or do you put them on a todo list and knock them out one by one when you get the time?

That's my attempt at translating all of this into a blog entry ;-)

Wireless Energy - That Just Happened!

A while ago I posted a blog about wireless energy, my foolproof invention to get rid of those pesky wires and batteries. It turns out that some "researchers" at MIT are actually working on it and making progress. I know it's bold of me to say, but, they probably got the idea off my blog, and it feels great!
